another predator question
If I were to put the factory performance tune into my computer, what it the advance on the timing from the predator.
Anybody. I read the manual and it's not telling me.
thanks.

What do you mean Rob. If you go back to a basic Diablo tune with no custom parameters and just set up the timing? If you go back to basic Diablo tune w/no customs but go in and change timing it will add to it what it already does with the basic Diablo tune.
And if you go back to stock tune (no predator at all) then everything will be the way it was the last time before you installed it.

The predator tune bumps timing 10degrees over the stock 10degrees, giving a total of 20degrees, and a max value of 22 degrees with adjustment.

Yes true.[>:]
Take a reading before the tune is installed, 10degrees stock timing.
Take a reading after the tune is installed, 20 degrees timing.
With the 10% adjustment gives you another 2 degrees.
Total timing predator added 12degrees, this is why some go with a timing adjuster which allows over 14degrees, not just the 12.
Total timing in the motor 22degrees.
You just can't fully take away the predators inital timing, you can only retard it 6 degrees as you said.

I am talking base timing. Stock timing is 10 at idle and on my car now is 22-23 at idle.
Tip in on the throttle and climbs to almost 40 at times and can hang around 30 until high idle kick down.
You certainly won't get far on 87 with advance timing, but with 91+ you need to listen for pinging with advnaced timing. I don't know why they didn't just install knock sensors on our motors[:@].
