RE: tunner question
If your going to use pre-loaded performance tunes: XCal 2 or Predator
If you're going to eventually do all your own tuning: XCal 2
If you're going to get a custom tune done by others: XCal 2 or Predator
Best price: $250 or so for a used Predator

RE: tunner question
Again, consider getting a used one if cost is an issue. A used predator will perform all of the same functions as a new one and they run as low as $250 or so. They are easier to find lately since the XCal 2 has been released and people want to try out SCT tunes.

RE: tunner question
Usualy pick up an new Predator for like $320 shipped on E-bay last time I check. Take care who you buy from. If you buy from non-diable or used, it may not be covered by warranty. Try not to save $30 and scr3w yourself.
I can't comment muct on the other tuners. The Predator is pretty nice because it allows you to shut off traction, adjust gears, redline, idle, top speed, MIL without buying MIL. It's nice becuase the Diablo canned tune does seem to help performance nicely. On the other hand, once you have done all that, it's boring. You can only bump up/down timing fuel at WOT. Not very granular. Maybe you don't need that though.
