Default HELP PLEASE

hey everyone i am new to the forums so i apologize if i posted this in the wrong section. i am buying my first car (a mustang of course :nice: ) anyways the one i am going to check out has these specs and i was wondering what you guys think a fair price is for this car, given these bad economic times. here are the specs and thanks in advance

2000 mustang gt (4.6L V8) black with black leather interior, 90k miles, stick shift, power everything and sun roof, UPGRADES:Fully redone sound system, new Sony headunit (CD/mp3/iPod input) with Infinity speakers all around
JLT cold air intake
Flowmaster catback
Mach 1 Springs
iPod/iPhone integration kit with steering wheel mounted remote

he is the 2nd owner, just replaced the intake manifold and did fluids and spark plugs, and cleaned fuel injectors.

thank you all in advance for your time and opinions. also any advice on what to look for when i'm examining the car would be great. thanks again

well hoping he didnt rape it too bad and he is half good at working on cars if he did the job himself. all the mods that are on it will save you some cash.

Well if you are buying off a private owner, id ask for a list of service records 1st. And just a general eye ball of the whole car. Im sure some other guys will have more to look for.

Good luck!

FYI, mods dont mean sh*t when selling or buying a car!!!! blue book will tell you what you should pay for it.

Yep, mods add nothing to the value to the car, all he did was a favor to you. The price depends on the condition of the vehicle. 00's can be had from $5k to $7500, like i said, it just depends.

well the intake manifold was replaced and its almost a guarantee that they will break on anyone, so at least thats out of the way. but yeah check for dings and dents, if the tires are bald from burnouts (like mine) it may suggest that he was hard on the car. you should pop the hood and listen closely to the engine. you may be able to determine if there is a knock or a misfire.

go to KBB.com, and enter the specs for your zip code, see what it gives you for private party value, knock it down a bit and go from there. Mods will do nothing but detract from the value. The reason he is selling it outright is likely because a dealer won't give him Sh*t for it. FWIW, I bought my 2000 GT 5spd, leather, power, good condition, not Excellent, 70k miles, bone stock, for 7500$ with an extra set of rims and tires. That was from a dealer lol. BUT, I live in OHIO, and every mustang here is overpriced, by atleast 20% it seems.
