Default IRS swap.

hey all im gettin ready to buy a wrecked cobra and im going to swap the irs into my car. i was woundereing what needed to be swapped over with it. what i know needs to be swapped is the exhaust. but

i was woundering if the drive shaft is the same for the v6, gt,and cobra or do i need to use the cobra shaft or get the stock one lenghtened?

and was also woundering if the fuel tank is the the same in the gt as it is the cobra or would i need to swap fuel tanks too ?

You'll need your SRA yoke for the front of the IRS. Everything else just bolts right up.

just take the yoke off of your SRA that you have right now. your yoke being the thing your driveshaft bolts onto on your SRA. just swap them over you don't need to buy anything.

You might as well do all the bushings while the IRS is out of the car.

ya +1 althought it might not need it right now it will save u alot of hassle down the road if/when then go bad.

im honestly not worried about the bushings right now. im just tryin to get it in the car since the rear thats in the car is on its death bed.

They're right on with the bushings. Get your fuel filter changed before you put it in also. I found that unless you have hands of 6 year old girl you will have big problems changing it with the irs in.

It isn't that they wear out, it is that they suck. They are rubber. You will want to replace them with Delrin.
