Default Engine will not idle

I have a 2000 GT that has been stored for the winter (about a month ago). I usually idle the engine one a month for about 15 minutes or so just to keep the battery fresh. This past weekend, I was not able to get the car to start. She will just barely turn over and then immediately dies. Eventually, I was able to get her to fire up by tapping the gas just at turnover and running the engine a little bit over idle, but the moment you get off the gas, it dies. I am not a wrench turner, so I'm hoping the experts here have run into this problem and can give me some idea before I have her towed in for service. Novice engine guy here!!! Thanks in advance for anyone who can lend some advice.

I had this issue last week too. It was my battery. I still have the original one in it from 2000 lol.

Battery is not the issue....plenty of juice. I did NOT use any fuel stabilizer. The stuff is only good for 60 days and I store it longer than that.

If it starts effortlessly, it wont be the battery. Sounds like a fuel problem simly because it starts.

try changing your fuel filter. this was the cause of multiple problems for me.

why do u say that??? if its not broke don't fix it.

check your fuel pressure if you have the means to do so. i do it with a compression tester. its supossed to be 40 psi at the rails.
