Default throttle body and plenum required?

i'm starting on a bone stock 04 GT, and i recently ordered CAI, throttle body spacer, and SLP c/b to start out. now, i had a TB picked out, but decided not to buy it at lost moment b/c i read that TB and plenum doesn't really do you any good unless you have a heavily modded engine or if you're supercharged. is this true?

tb and plenum would get better gains than a cai and tb spacer. the plenum will look good. cant really expect a huge jump in power though

I pulled mine and gasket matched them with a rotary tool I also smoothed out the inside of the throttle body and plenum. A smooth transition and smooth air flow will make more of a differance than just going bigger

here's my .02 stop the bolt on bull ****, you won't feel any real power differences anyways, put that money to the side for some serious hp jumps xe: H/C, power adder. Just go with a set of 4.10s now that will be money well spent.

Open up the exhaust (H or X-pipe, and a catback), then get a tuner, then get gears.--then do intake and other bolt-on stuff.

The CAI and TB spacer will do nothing along side the pathetic 87 octane OEM tune, and the cat back without a 2-1/2" mid-pipe will only make it sound like it has more power...

I didn't know people still bought TB spacers anymore. Aren't they pretty much worthless, even on an engine dyno??

i think a TB spacer is only if you have a seriously modified engine then you see real gains

For the amount of money you are going to spend on the plenum and Tb you could get a nice tuner. Then get the mid pipe to compliment the catback and then gears and call it a day.
