Default Replacing lash adjusters

I plan on using the screwdriver method, but I'm not quite sure what to do with my new ones and how to actually install them. Do I need to soak these in oil/bleed them or anything since they are brand new? Also, I know I can use plyers and yank the old ones out but how do I put the new ones in?

You should stand the new lash adjusters in a container of motor oil. Use a paper clip to pump the plunger up and down. Do this while the adjusters are submerged in the oil. You will see small bubbles coming from the plunger hole. This will prime the adjuster by removing the air trapped inside. If you 're familiar with the screwdriver method, then you know to change one adjuster at a time. You should be able to push the new adjuster into place. Slip the cam follower underneath the cam and use your screwdriver to pop it back onto the adjuster. As you rotate the crankshaft, the cam will turn and another cam follower will slip off - or become really loose from - its lash adjuster. Repeat the same steps for removing and replacing this lash adjuster and move on to the next.

Easy to do Great directions above as well. How much did the new set run you for all of them?

I dind't even bother to prime the new ones that I put in. Makes it a damn sight easier on the DOHC engines.

Nah, it's actually pretty easy. I pulled all 32 of mine looking for collapsed ones in a day. On a 2V it is gonna be EASY.

All you really needto do is turn the crank to get enough clearance from the lobes of the cam to remove everything. More of a pain in the *** to get the valve covers off than replace the adjusters lol
