electrical probs... driver window only...???
hey guys here's a link to my car's most recent trip to the shop.

Everthing seemed fine and the SES went off for about a week or two. It came back on last night, but haven't gotten the codes read yet. I just got home from getting all my detailing goodies since I called in sick today and its gorgeous out. My drivers side window will not go up. Now I can't wash my car..
The passengetr side is fine so its not a fuse (dont they both run from the same fuse?) Does anyone have any suggestions or have experienced this before? Loose wire from the driver window switch?
Any help would be appreciated...
THanks,
TJ

Mine went out today.
The driver side window won't close other side works ok..
I can hear the little relay click when I hit the switch..
I did a search on removing door panel and will start to do that tonight..
Any tips I would also appreciate..
Mine is a 2000 V6 Mustang.
Is there a Virus going around on these window motors???
Thanks

Ron D (if you havent solved this yet) and other "window problem" searchers,
I figured it out. Stangnet had a ton of writeups on this. The consensus was that after removing the door panel, press the window switch and gently tap the windoww motor.
1. pop out the main door bezel.
2. there are 2 screws behind that, take those out.
3. in the front bottom of the door panel (near the speaker/fuse box), there's a "christmas tree" pin (like the one's you install a mach chin spoiler with), take that out. Be careful, you'll want to put it back in.
4. pull up, then out. Be careful not to pull of your door handle.
5. Right below the door handle is a small opening, and you can see the silver motor through it. The hole looks just about big enough to fit the head of a hammer through it (how convenient). The '01 GT's have a vinyl liner protecting the window from shiz... the part covering this hole has a cross shaped slit.
6. Tap the motor while putting the window up or down. It worked for me.
Me=$300 savings Local shop= no business from me again.
Hope this helps.

I have a 2000 convertible GT. The drivers side window will start to go down but then bind up and stop as the window gets crooked. I removed the panel and it looks like the front near the door handle gets caught for some reason and it stops the window. Does anyone have any suggestions?
