Getting the x pipe won't change the offset of the mufflers.

mrtstang is right, it wont. They just have tighter bends and **** them crooked basically in the catback system. Heres mine, I just so happened to take this a day or two ago.

I was going to try and put my lm1's in myself but ran into same problem. Nestang, did u just put the mufflers on an angle or did you have to get pipes rebent?

I have a full exhaust BBK LTs to BBK o/r x pipe and the whole SLP catback, I think some of Bassanis catbacks are setup the same way with like a bullet style muffler

find a new exhaust shop. im sure they can fabricate something up so you dont have to buy a new catback. my buddy had bullets put in a cobra that had a stock catback.

and x pipe will not change anything about the way your exhaust sits. just changes where/how the pulses merge together for flow restriction and sound.

mmm, another thing is isnt the stock catback smaller than aftermarket? like 2.25"? SLP's is 2.5". that may also come into play if your using stock pipes...

however, if that muffler shop cant bend something up real quick, i'd quickly find a new shop.

^+1. Your exhaust shop is being f***tarded. Yes, the o.d.'s are different as noted in above posts, you'll need (4) 2.25" to 2.5" adapters (available at any auto parts store), and somebody willing to think outside the box and re-route the exhaust piping behind the mufflers to connect back to the existing pipes before the axle. Anybody with three or four brain cells, a sawzall, and a welder could make it happen for you.

Thats right but if your going bigger/better exhaust why not just get the catback or have them bent out of 2 and 1/2". To have step up and step down pieces will work, but to me thats just messing with the flow, not much but if you think about it, plus if you make it all 2 1/2" it will look alot better as well.
