compared to my past cars (93 Tbird V6 not SC, 94 Tbird V8, and 95 Mark 8) i agree with that statement X 100000000000% lol

big reason why I looked into getting a stang....plus a 5 speed....plus not having to custom make EVERYTHING to modify the other cars lol

everything fun to do on the tbird or lincoln forms you would have to modify a mustang this or that to make it work....

WELL another update....

today cruising around back roads in 5th gear my car started this bucking again. seems it will only do it around 2K rpm. turned the car off and back on again and now have CEL. im going to check the codes after it is towed home....45 min away from my house. first time it did this, it was wet, today it is wet again but it did it after almost 1 hr of driving in the wet roads...

to be continued.....

That you bought what seems to be an ill-maintained, 7-year old (when you bought it), junk does not damn the whole breed. I bought my 2003 GT on December 7, 2006 with 30k on it, it will turn 100k sometime next week--runs like a champ.

In that time I have replaced the rotors and pads, the IAC, and the water pump (only because I was installing UDPs and found the bearing to be a tiny bit rough feeling). I had to get a new battery in August of '08.

I have also changed the oil every 2500-3000 miles, flushed the braking system, power steering, and radiator each twice; changed the tranny juice twice; and the rear-end once--my plan is to drive it another 100k to 150k.

well some good news....apparently there was a 1/4" hole in my left rear wheel well, and since the FPDM is mounted on the left side of the trunk....and its wet out...put 2 and 2 together. disconnected battery and no more CEL

i saw the hole because i was parked on snow, and felt the connection and it was wet. SO plugged the hole, dried the connection and it seems to run fine now. NO idea where the hole came from, looks stock and wasnt something that punched through.

which makes me think that i did not have to buy a new FPDM from the start and that it was wet, and when i reved it, i blew 2 spark plugs getting me 2 misfires...

thankfully it seems minor, but on my drive home tonight in the wet/snow i will find out more lol
