Lightbulb Well rounded suspention setup....

I have Steeda Comp Springs all around, Hotchkis Rear Upper and Lower Control Arms. My Tokico D Spec Shocks & Struts are in the mail. I'm getting a lot of wheel spin on my launches even w the Nitto 315 555r's behind me. I'm realizing now that maybe I should have gone with the steeda sport springs in back. Do you think the new struts will help with this problem or do I need to order the softer springs for the rear.
I love to rip through the twisties so I don't want to loose too much of the stiffness, but I need stronger launches. I also have some 3.73's in the box and I think they'll just make the problem worse at this point. Your opinions are appreciated!

And no I don't want to put any sand bags in the trunk!!! lol

What rpm are you launching at? And launching on the street is nowhere near the same as the strip.

From what Ive heard is those Nittos are good for straight line and are terrible on corners/twisties. But thats just what Ive heard. I really like the Verdistiens(sorry for the spelling) that I got, but I dont have the suspension to really push them, they seem too hook great though.

I'm launching between 1,800 and 2,200 rpm.
Thanks for the tire tip cuz I need some in the next 2 months.

yea those 3.73's will make launching a bit worse. im assuming your still running the stock struts/shocks? how many miles on them? should help out a bit but how much i dunno. im assuming your sticking to straight lines, with some DD, or did you have something including twisties in mind?

Go with MT DR's they dont last as long but there a hell of a lot stickier. Also try just slipping the clutch instead of dumping it. I spun with my 10.5 nittos doing 25 if i mashed on it. Ya just gotta learn the right way to launch it. Just keep practicing.

I'm swapping out the stock struts/shocks for the Tokico D Spec's in about a week but I think I'm going sell the steeda competition springs and get their sport springs The comps are awesome for twisties but too firm for drag.

MT's would be sick but I can't afford them right now... maybe a set for the summer!

haha thats the reason i dont have dr's anymore. I needed new tires and didnt have $600 laying around for 10.5 tires. The rims and tires i got now only cost me $100 for all four. Im looking into gett v6 rims and mounting slicks on the back ones. THat seems to be the cheaper alternitave people are using. Its still gonna be a tad pricy though.
