dyno tune
A dyno tune will be closer to optimum for your particular application than just seat of the pants tuning. But it will also cost more $$$.Some places use the handheld tuners in conjuntion with the dyno so if you can find one in your area you might use the tuner you already have.
for your mods? i wouldn't bother. if you get some form of F/I, then yes, spend the money on a dyno tune. the mail-order tunes are pretty damn good for n/a cars from what a local stang shop owner told me.
As much as everyone will disagree with me, get it profesionally tuned. It is usually about $100 but it is worth it for the peace of mind of knowing the car is right and at it's full potential.
I had mine dyno-tuned with the little mods I have and picked up another 36whp and 30wtq, my a/f was 10/1 and timing was off like hell. But then again what do I know.

I picked up 8rwhp with NO mods at all (got gears done, had to get tuner and they threw in a tune for free). So yeah, considering people pay like 500 bucks for intake setups that net 2 hp it's definately worth it.
You know the option in the tuner like WOT settings or w/e, they use that on the dyno. Im getting my car dynoed soon and they will tune on the dyno w/ the tuner. The place doing it told me like 140 w/ my tuner. Hooking there stuff up woud have costed like 300-350. They shouldnt charge more then 200 w/ your own tuner. It will help you though for sure.
