Default Extremely irritating squeak...wheel bearing?

Ok so this has been an issue for quite some time now but lately seems to have gotten worse. Everytime I am driving my car in a quiet neighborhood or when a bigger car is next to me, I hear a light but very noticable squeaking sound.

my TOB has been making a similar sound since several months ago but it's very slight and obviously goes away when the clutch is down. I tested my problem now with the clutch in and out, and it's still the same. I then figured it could be the pilot bearing? But the sound does goes away as soon as my car stops, whether my clutch is in or out. The only sound at this point is the TOB when the clutch is out which comes periodically.

So basically to sum up, it makes a squealing sound only when my car is in motion, regardless of whether the clutch it in or out.

So what do you guys think the problem is? Is this a characteristic of a bad wheel bearing? Some people told me it could be chassis squeak and I should lube up my control arm bushings but I hadly doubt it because this is a continual squeal that happens even on a smooth road.

Thanks,
Brandon

Could be a warped rotor. As the wheel turns, the warped part starts rubbing on the brake pad.

Best way to find out is to put it up on jacks. I know that mine was making a squeak like you are describing and it was a warped rotor. Does the car shake any when you put the brakes on?

Could be the wheel bearing, or the ball joint, even the sway bar bushing.

I know they squeak like hell on the 2nd gen Dodge Rams when they go bad. Never had one go bad on my mustang.

Hmm...so whats the best way to test it? My car seems to brake fine. I have Cobra front brakes but the thing is I have Duralast rotors and pads and the rotors are starting to show relatively deep groves. I've been meaning to get new rotors and pads sometime soon.

Thanks,
Brandon

I had the very same problem with a '84 T-Bird. Drove me nuts. Couldn't replicate the sound in the garage. All front end parts seemd to be fine.

It was a loose wheel weight; the type that clips on to the edge of the rim. It was sliding back and forth as the wheel turned at slow speeds. But, if you have the glue on type, that wouldn't be it.
