Help Needed!
My friend has a 2000 Mustang. I just wanted to ask a question on here because you have all helped before. I was wondering if you guys could tell me what might need fixing.
When he goes to a gas station to fill up this always happens: as he is filling up on gas, at least half of it spills out through some hole. The gas only spills during the filling of gas, not while its idle or running. What could this be?

It makes the most sense to have to do with the filler neck assembly. Check the 3 bolts attaching it to where you put the gas pump.
Also lay under the car and check where it mates with the tank there's a rubber seal there someone else on this forum was recently having a problem with that.
Of course it could be the neck itself but it makes the most sense being one of the two connections.
