Those directions tell u everything u need to know, and no special tool is required once u get the crown nut off just give that biznatch a nice smack with a mini sledge and it will drop like a prom dress.

There's no special tool needed, but there is something to use to save about thirty seconds a side if you have an air compressor. I have a 32mm socket that I cut a big U in the side so I could slip it over the end of the tie rod end stem. Then I used my impact gun to run it in reverse to spin the old tie rod end off. I only used it when the old one was all rusted on and a pain in the *** to get off. Other than that it's pretty straight foward and easy.

If you don't have the ball joints I recommend doing them at the same time. Your going to want them to fully fix the bumpsteer problem and it sounds like this is your DD so save a few hours and get those on too.
