Default Power windows.....

So iv been having this problem for a while and just cant seem to figure out what is making them do this or feel like paying someone a lot to take a look. My problem is just my driver side window will go down and up very slow though. The passenger side will move about a half inch up and down and the two in the back do not even want to budge. I dont really understand why they all would go out like this.

Power window motor, faulty wiring (unlikely), or a battery that is on it's way out.

Iv actually had one of the motors replaced about a year ago and its on one of the windows that dosnt work. And the battery is fairly new so I guess that rules those out.

My 02 vert had a simular problem and after replacing motors and switches it turned out to be faulty wiring. I suggest taking it to a good shop or ford dealership that you trust. This problem prob can be solved real cheap just depends on how knowledgable the person working on it is.

It seems kinda odd that it would be faulty wiring from the factory. I guess ford went cheap in the wiring area.

Are you only using your window switch? Try it with the passengers switch. It may just be bad. It can happen either thru wear and tear, or if you spill anything on the door.

Not to jack your thread but I'm having the same problem.. sort of. I can only roll the passenger side window down on the driver side switch, but on the passenger side switch I can roll the window up and down. I went to Autozone today and picked up window lift motor, after reading your post do you think it might be the switch? I'm doing the install tomorrow guess we will find out tomorrow.

It goes for both switches. The passenger window will only move about 1/4 inch then stops. The driver side will go down but it is slow.

They all need to be disassembled, cleaned, lubricated, reassembled and adjusted--they are 8 years old and need some attention.

I did this on my '03 a year and a half ago when I noticed the windows getting sluggish, if you keep operating them as they are (sluggish and sticking) you may burn out the regulator motors and/or switches.

Try lubricating the glass runs with a silicone spray product. I have fixed a bunch of slow/sluggish/inop power windows like this on different makes/models. Definitely sounds like sticky glass runs since its all four windows.
