Default Trans Fluid

Just got the transmission put back in after changing the clutch. Can I add fluid through the shifter hole? That would make it much easier since its out anyhow.

And how much does the T45 take?

Thats what i did. I pulled it up on some car ramps and pulled the drain and fill plug off and let it drain. put the drain plug back on and Back it of the ramps and then pulled the shifter off. unscrew the shifter **** then pull ont the leather boot and the plactic part with pop right out. had 4 screws to take of the cover then 4 bolts holding the shifter down. pulled it off and added right at 3.5 quarts till it stared runing out of the fill hole. jacked one side up just enough to put the fill plug back in and put the shifter and stuff back on.
I put the gm synchromesh back in it and it shifts smooth as butter.
