6 disk changer problem
#13
The stock 6 disc changer is crap for discs. It's a common problem for them to stop ejecting discs, the racks to not change properly, etc. Fortunately they have AUX inputs in the rear so you can get a cord and use your iPod or what-have-you to listen to music on the stock deck. It's not a big fix or anything but the cord only costs a few dollars and it works. I'm looking to replace the stock deck in mine but can't find anything that I like the look of. I, too, like the way the stock unit looks and I'm looking for something reliable that isn't too flashy. There are some Pioneer and Kenwood units that look like they'd fit in nicely, but neither brand are particularly impressive. Unfortunately Alpine decks really don't fit what I'm looking for as a replacement.

It worked most of the time, but when I finally decided I wanted a new one, I think I had a total of 9 discs loaded into the 6 disc player. The weird thing about all this is that the player worked fine until I loaded a CD by Charlie Manson into it.... after that it never worked right again.
It is easy to replace, took me 20-30 minutes.
