Default Traction Control Question

I have a 2004 Mustang GT It did not come with a traction control option. When I was install my Steeda triax shifter, I noticed the dummy button had a wireing harness cliped into it. So my question is if i purchased a real button will the traction control work?

Thanks
Dave

same here, I have an 04 and it has a dummy button. I thought traction control was a standard on the 40th edition.

There is more to it than the button. Pop your hood and as you look down, just to the left side of the engine in fron of the radiator there will be the control unit. It should have a sticker on it that says TRAC CONTR. Thats like the master cylinder for the trac control. If your car didnt come equipped with that and all the piping to the back tires and fuel system then the button will do you no good.
