Default I found wires and a button.. but what are they?

I have an 03 gt, supposedly all stock except for straight pipes.
After I got the car home I noticed a button mounted to the bottom of the dash. So today I decided to take a look and see there the button goes and what it does.
The button is wired into this plug that has wires going everywhere.
The plug just has a cap on it, If you pull the cap off the car will not crank over..
maybe it's a remote start? maybe an alarm?
I figured you guys could look at the pictures and tell me what they have the wires tapped into..

Sounds like a kill switch for an alarm but not sure?

Sounds like some sort of kill switch that the previous owner used as an anti-theft device? Was it easily visible, or was it tucked up a little so it was hidden.

I know Fox Bodies out here get stolen quite a bit, and a lot of owners have installed hidden kill switches to help stop thieves.

The button was mounted to the bottom of the dash.
You could barely see 4 wires coming off of it going up under the dash.
but that's alot of wires for a simple kill switch..

Plug it all back in and start the car. Then shut the car off and hit the button and then try starting the car again?

What are the results?

Looks like an Ignition Kill switch to me but I am NO mechanic.

Maybe it will transform the car into the bat mobile or something! JK!
