Default Alternator or ???????

Sup guys, havent posted for a while so it was only a matter of time before something else happened. Don't really have a time frame so I will say this has started within the last month to month and a half. Once my car is turned on and I press the accelerator, you can hear a distinct whine coming from the engine bay. It even happens while i'm driving, not just when the car is in park. I have had my fair share of bad alternators and thats exactly what it sounds like. But the thing is, both my battery and alternator are both around 7 months old. And every once in a while when I come to a stop, the car loses a little power but then recovers almost a second or two later. Any my voltage gauge is 3/4 of the way to the right and goes down a little bit when I press the brakes (weird). I know this is probably a stupid post but I was just wondering if anyone has any idea what could be going on or if anyone else has had this happen to them also. The only accessories in my car that needs power is my satellite radio and on occassion, my ipod.

Doug, is the power steering pump plumbed in conjunction with the brake booster on these cars? Could it be the pump going out? I dunno just a thought lol.

Alright, here's a couple of videos i promised. One is inside the engine bay and the other one is outside with the hood closed. You can still hear it with the hood closed but you have to listen carefully.

What about your idler tension pulley? I had one those whining.I put a drop of oil on the bushing and the noise went away, but after the oil dried up the noise came back.New idler pulley took care of that.

+1 on the idler and tensioner pulleys. Take the belt off the pulleys and if they do not rotate smoothly without any ratcheting it's time to get new ones.
