Default Header ?

I have a UPR offroad x-pipe and was looking into getting some lt headers possibly. Does anyone know of any brand lt's will bolt up to my midpipe or will some fabrication be neccessary?

Is a equal length shorty header the same as just a plain shorty header? Also does anyone know how hard shorties are to put on?

Equal length are different than regular shorties. The equals will flow better, but the difference is minute. Ford Racing makes shorties that will bolt on to your UPR x-pipe.

This is not a job to be tackled by someone with no experience. To replace headers on a 4.6, you have to unbolt the mounts and lift the motor to get the passenger side header on. Might as well do the driver's side while its lifted. The pain is worth it. Whatever headers you buy, make sure that they are ceramic or JetHot coated. Again, FRPP makes JH coated shorties. You can get them on ebay:

Happy motoring

theres still a need to unbolt the motor mounts for shorties too? I thought theyd be a much simpler, easier install than equal lenths or lt's?

Yep, even with shorties. No header can be done without lifting the motor. Sorry, but that's mustangs for you.
