Default Timing and such

When I got my Predator, I just installed the Diablo performance tune, and changed the gear ratio, as well as speed limiter and traction control.. As far as modifyin the timing and stuff with the custom parameters, can you feel any noticable games over the regular diablo performance tune, or would it be better just to leave it as is. (I run 93 octane.)

That depends on what you think of as 'noticeable.' Advancing the timing will give you gains.

First, I'm not an expert. As with other mods, the amount of HP you get depends on other mods you've done. You can advance the timeing to about 14 on late models without ping (87 octane). With 93, you can go higher, but I'm not sure how far. Step it up one degree at a time slowly and drop it back at the first sign of ping.

My guess is that you can get up to 10HP with this, but again, I'm no expert. As far as the Cobra, I'm no help there.

Good luck.

i'm not an expert on this and wouldn't know were to advance the timimg. but when i installed my predator with the performance tune i noticed a difference, but not a big one. i took my car to a guy and he advanced the timing along with other things , then dynoed the car and picked up 10rwhp and 12rwtq. i felt an immediate difference in power after i left his shop. so if you can find soeone who knows what they're doing, i would diffenetly recommend advancing your timimg along with other things. but i wouldn't do it yourself unless you really know what your doing because you could end up losing power or worse.

When you push the Diablo tune to your car, you will feel and hear a bit of a diff for sure. Then, when you carefully bump up your timing/fuel, you WILL feel a bit more push but only at wide open throttle. Your exhaust will also start to sound and smell just a bit different especially if you don't have cats. Got to hear my old lady drive off in my 5-speed GT again today. Mean as h3ll sounding!

I could feel alittle more power when I advanced the timing to 5. I still I'm not done I'm going to try going to 6.
