Default Patriot Stage II's

Hey guys need a little more advice/reccommendations..I'm really leaning towards installing Patriot Stage II heads on my car when I buy my MMR block next summer. I was wondering would those heads be a good fit with my cams (comp stage 1) and my Vortech S/C (V1 T-Trim)? I was also wondering with a good tune would it be possible to hit 500 RWHP with that setup?? Thanks guys!

you really need to get blower cams to try to get the power your after. stage 1 na's are not gonna hack it with your HP goals. best to spend the money now before the heads and timing chains are put on the motor then have to pay to have it torn down and rebuilt again.

those heads, even being stage 2s, the ports are a tad too big NA engines. but you being f/i, they may be fine. the 500 mark would be no problem with the setup mentioned. you could have your pi heads ported. ive seen better numbers out of ported pi heads than the patriot stage 2s. either will hit your mark, its your call on which way to go

Yeah I was kinda thinking the same thing. Just ****'s me off when I have to redo a mod. Wish I could afford the cams now since the car is going to be at the shop tomorrow. What cams would you reccommend??

hey thanks bro. since I just changed out my cams two years ago will I have to buy any additional hardware or can I just use my setup minus my cams ?? Also bro I see that you are looking for a Mach 1 shaker hood and shaker system. There's a guy on corral.net selling one pretty cheap..

going to a higher lift cam, you'll have to use valve springs that can handle that much lift. i suggest, if you can afford it, using all new components when building the heads. i have a set of pi heads ported for f/i with crower stage 2 blower cams, crane cams valve springs designed for boost and titanium retainers waiting to go on a built short block. the rest of the head components will be new factory ford pieces. be about a year before i start on a short block, i kinda jumped the gun. do you have a link to that hood, couldnt find it
