Question HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok, when I turn on the ignition, the theft light flashes and the motor only turns over, not starting. Whats crazy is if i hold my cell phone with the battery side against the ignition, the light will not flash when I turn the key over and the car will start. Obviously I can't wait and see how long this lasts but is there a way to disable PATS? Anybody know whats going on or had this happen? Can a sct tuner shut PATS off? Any info will be appreciated. Thanks.

You can have a tuner bypass the PATS. Sounds like the ignition transceiver could be going bad. Have you tried your spare key?

i used to have a link but i lost it :-/

you should be able to go to like a stereo installer tho they should be able to if the tuner thing doesnt work. i believe they disable pats when they install remote starter kits.

There used to be a write up to disable the pats, I just can't seem to find it. Worst case scenario put a 4bbl on it LOL.

That's a strange one haha...

A stereo shop is just going to take the chip out of one of your keys and tape it to the steering column.

I'm sure there's some that will bypass it but you can bet most are just gonna take the cheap/fast way out.

PATS can be disabled in the tune, there's a single scalar for it. It's quick and easy.
