Default Changing Side Scoops

So i just recently purchased some 02-04 gt side scoops to upgrade from my 00 gt scoops but the new one dont come with the clips so i need to reuse the ones i have, can someone help me out with the removal of the scoops? thanks

Hi you will have to take off the side panel inside the car directly behind the scoops, under your back side windows. My car had a bunch of insulation that you have to move out of the way then you will see some long skinny bolts. Remove the bolts and they come right off. The hardest part is removing that side panel.---Mine was a 96 but I am pretty sure it's the same for your yr.

Whats the difference between the 00 scoops and the 02-04 scoops?

pretty sure one is the full scoop and the other is like half a scoop with the side missing... that description makes sense in my head but I dont think it came out quite right haha

One is completely closed and the other is like half open I'll try to get some pics..so the only way is to remove the entire rear fender?

I'm pretty sure you don't need to get to the inside of your car to remove the scoops. I believe they are held on by 6 plastic rivets and all you do is pull the scoops off just like in this how-to:

At least this is what I hope cause I just paid for some 01 bullitt sidescoops and I hope the install will be as easy as that lol

Yup, that's it--there are nylon pry bars that will let you get under the scoop and have the best chance of getting it off without breaking the clips. The tabs on the scoop that hold the clip pins are quite fragile.
