Default Stang just had a bad day

Well i have been noticing a ticking sound in my car. Well i thought that it was an exhaust leak. Well i tried to go find it and then the ticking stopped. Well today i started the car and the the ticking turned into a loud knocking sound. Well i thought it was catostrophic. I took it to a shop by my house that i take it to for tune ups and stuff like that, well come to find out my spark plug stripped out and blew out of my block. I thought it was all over, but luckily the guy i brought it to gets a lot of crown vics and ford trucks that have this problem and he actually owned a tool that he bought from ford that can fix it with the heads on and re thread it. Well in that process that ford tool broke. Now i have to wait until monday to get the car back. The guy charged 150 for the tap and then he charged another 100 just to take off the fuel rail. hopefully he fixes it.

Yeah i know. I was actually thinking the worst. I was looking in my savings to see if i have enough to buy a 4V block. The guy actually said that with this kit, the hole will actually be stronger than all the other ones now.

If he charged you for the tap, you better get it when its done. It would be like taking your car in for a brake job and them charging you for the torx bit that broke...

ok misunderstood, I thought it was for the tap itself, not the tap job.

that's a 10 dollar fix if you're careful...

hopefully he didnt put the insert in too deep or you're going to do what I did...and that's mash the plug with the piston...

then need a new cylinder head

best of luck, sweet dreams
