True...I got mine for a little old man from Phoenix! Seriously. He was a little old school teacher and only put 14,000 miles on it the 6 years he owned it.

Good choice on the gears. 3.73's or 4.10's your choice. 3.73's are a good all around street gear. You will notice a huge difference in that. Sound system sounds nice. Make sure you post pics.

Save for a Supercharger, I prefer centri's, power all the way to red line and more, and less stress on the motor.
373's are great with my Paxton. Set you back only 4-500 bucks, the best mod ever, not counting the Paxton.
Supercherger cost me $5500 installed, but damn, it's a different car now!! Went from running 13.7's with many mods, dropped to a best 12.17 Supercharged!

they arent the greatest handhelds SCT allows you to do more, but its fine for a street car and if you arent trying to tune the car yourself it doesnt really matter. you dont really need custom tunes on a bolton car anyways. just load the performance tune and run 93 octane gas. make sure you run your current tank out and fill up with premium, then load the tune once that tank is about empty and you fill up again.

since you need to ask where to buy gears, anything your gonna buy like that check americanmuscle first. great company they ship fast (and free), customer service is awesome, and prices are cheaper for most stuff atleast than anywhere else. and when you become a more active member, you can PM one of the AMM reps for the forum discount code (extra 6% off)

3.73 or 4.10 gears from Motive (they make the FRPP gears) with a bearing install kit. Next, I would get a larger throttle body. Then, because you live in California and can't install cams or long tube headers, I would get shorty headers but don't buy any aftermarket off-road X pipe. Only the stock X pipe will pass smog. Even the catted X pipes from aftermarket suppliers will fail the smog test. Living in the Peoples Republik of Kalifornia sucks for car guys!!!

My personal opinion...

5 speed = 3.73
Automatic = 4.10
