Default Disc Brake Tool sets

I was going to change my rear pads last night on the '03 GT. Been 7 years and never touched them, just the fronts last year. I bought a TOY block with little nubbies on it from Advance Auto parts. When I went to just try it out on the piston, I told myself don't. But since I already had everything apart I had to try it.(I'm getting the feeling I hear some chuckles out there). Needless to say, I stopped while I was ahead, thank goodness. I'm going to return that TOY BLOCK tomorrow. My question is, I've been online looking at the brake tools offered. I know I'm not the only one to try the TOY block. So, someone who bought the actual tool from Amazon or Harbor Freight, which tool have you bought, and experienced, that can HANDLE the cranking back in of those rear caliper pistons? Thank you, and enjoy the rest of your weekend.

Is there a specific Ford Caliper Tool? Or, is it any better than the others? I know some of these looked a little CHEESEE.

I have used that retarded block tool on a few Mustang before I bought the Harbor freight tool. If I remember right I had to modify it by cutting 2 tabs off to get it to work with the Mustang rear pistons

Thank you BraMas. I was thinking of cutting those two tabs off. But if I did i was afraid I couldn't return it. And I want a tool I can depend on, having two Mustangs. If both of you have the same one, then it must be good enough for me. Nice '96 by the way.

WOW. "Your a better man that I Gunnga Dinn" I'm to afraid of damaging the piston and boot. With two Mustangs I figure I just better get the tool. I don't have the Hootspah.(Did I spell hootspa wrong)?

The little cube thing you mentioned is worthless. Even after grinding the tabs off it still doesn't work very well. The tool pictured is the Harbor Freight link is perfect, Auto Zone has one that I rent for a refundable $50 fee.

I have this set, but for occasional use you dont need one this expensive lol

Just get that harbor freight set it should work fine. Both pistons in the rear crank in clockwise, so its cake with the tool.
