Question 2002

Tried to start my GT this morning . It turns over ok but will not start. Lately when I start it the gauges will go all the way to the right side then return to the start and then to normal. Some kind of electrical or fuel pump I'm guessing. Thats as far as my knowledge goes. Anyone have any help?

gauge sweep is a sign of a weak battery. however if it is indeed "turning over ok" but not starting, its probably a PATS or fuel issue. I really cant help much with a vague description. Is the THEFT light flashing when you crank it? if not, then check fuel pressure. take the fuel cap off and have someone turn the key on, see if you hear the pump
