I have some sputtering problems. After a quick search I noticed that a few others had this same problem with an O/R X pipe. This problem only started after I got the O/R X pipe. I can be cruising in any gear really, and right around 2200rpms, the car sputters...hard. I got MIL eliminators on there, but I don't even know if they are working. I put them on and I took the car to my buddies house who is a mechanic. He whipped out the ODBII code reader and hooked it up. I got the codes turned off, we went for a drive, and they popped back on. We checked the codes and there where 2 codes for the o2 sensors. I thought the MIL eliminators would have turned those off[:@]. Going catless seems to be the problem though, almost for sure. Has anyone succesfully dealt with this problem before?

Oh, it's a 1996 Convertible GT with about 75,000 miles. I have stock exhaust manifolds, to MAC offroad X, to Magnaflow catback.

 

Sounds like you may have put the MIL's on the wrong O2 sensors. You did put them on the back ones right?

 

After putting the car on ramps and checking, yes they are on the back o2 sesors.

 

where did you get the mil's from and how much i got mine from summit and they were like $80

 

haven't had that problem but mil eliminators suck.
