people run bigger then this upfront all the time, i feel like the car is running the fenderwell on a full turn

255/45-18 is 1.3" larger diameter than the stock tire (245/45-17), it will rub on tight turns.

The 285/40-18s are also of a larger diameter than stock--this will mess up the speedometer and reduce rear wheel torque delivered to the ground, it's nearly the same as having 3.08 gears in the rear end.

Why did you buy such big tires? 255/40-18 on the front, and 285/35-18s on the back, would be much closer to the OEM tire diameters...

Because they got lucky? It's not a common tire size for new-edge Mustangs--mostly because it's too damned big...

IDK, maybe with the stock "monster-truck" ride height it would work out OK???

because your tires you're running are different hights and it's pissing your car off. get the correct size tire for your car, (or more correct, as it is impossible to get a tire on an 18 inch rim that is 100% the same hight as a 17" rim, on these cars anyway). i don't understand why you would willingly put tires on your car that are BIGGER than what it came with. go monster trucking much?
