Default Slow ETs

I have a 94 Mustang GT that is stock except for my flowmaster exhaust. I took it to the strip tonight and ran

15.418 @ 89.33mph
.099 RT
9.939 1/8 Mile @ 71.48mph

The guy that I was racing was in a 95 GT stock except for exhaust and he ran

14.731 @ 95.27mph
.360 RT
9.550 1/8 Mile @ 75.27mph

What gives? It is the same motor. I was shifting at 5k just like him and I was losing... I am not the most technologially advance guy, but that doesnt make sense. I know I should have been running faster. Does anyone have any idea what is wrong with my Stang???

Your 60 foot times would be helpfull also, you may have spinning.

In the lane I ran in most it was not logging a 60 foot time. The only one I have was from my 2nd run and it was a 2.373. I was having a problem with spin at the beginning of the night, but by the time I was racing him it was not a big problem. He didn't seem to be power shifting. At least not that I could hear. The track uses a perfect light of .000, but even that shouldnt matter for ETs i don't think. I am wondering if it is a problem with my ignition or intake somewhere. Maybe I just need a tune up i don't know.

Its mostly your 60' times. Only thing that throws it off though is your MPH are quite a bit different and 60' dont have that much affect on your MPH. He is trapping 6 MPH higher than you, so you either you are really ****ing up somewhere down the track or he was doing something really good, or he had more done then he is letting on to.

R u an auto? It doesn't look like you have d/r's either. I'll tell you what you did wrong. [sm=gears.gif]
YOU NEED TRACTION. GET SOME D/R'S. iF YOUR CAR IS A STICK THAT MPH IS KIND OF LOW. YOU SHOULD BE CLOSER TO 98,99 MPH. TRY POWER SHIFTING. DON'T SPIN SO MUCH OF THE LINE.

define power shifting!!! I was getting a real nice chirp out of second and third gear. so i thought my shifting was pretty good. as far as launch i hardly spun at all. maybe i was not launching agressivly enough. what do you think?
