Nitrous is the only way to get big power on a really tight budget. I've been running mine for several years without a single issue or problem.

As is recommended to nearly everyone else asking the same question, do gears (3.73 or 4.10 ratio, do a little research and see which one sounds like it will suit your needs) and an off road or catted midpipe, followed by maybe a full cat back exhaust or just some weld in mufflers. Skip the cold air and just get a K&N drop in filter and then a nice 70mm or 75mm tb/plenum combo. And don't forget the handheld tuner (SCT or Diablo). Those items (although might exceed your current budget a little but not too much) will wake your car up quite a bit.

Or you could just say screw all that **** and for around $600 pick up and install a 100 shot N2O kit and be done with it (don't forget a prof. dyno tune for this if you don't want to cook your engine).

Bolt ons cost a lot of money for minimal power. I spent alot on my car. If I had to do it again I wouldve done exhaust and a blower

Save your $$$, go to class, and learn from everyone else. In this economy, don't waste the little amount of money you do have on the car. Leave it alone.

You said you have $1500 you could buy all the parts to supercharge the car and still have beer money left over.
