Ok, I have been running my stock tune lately to allow me to utilize cheap gas. The problem is I have 373 gears and 18" tires. This makes the speed odometer read off by about 7 miles per hour. (if i drive 55 the odometer reads 60ish) So a couple weeks ago a car pulls me over with this nice flashy blue light and gives me this special appointment date. So, I need a stock tune with 456 gears to adjust my odometer far enough in the correction direction to allow the calibration to read in my favor. Is there anybody who has also done this? I have an older SCT (multi-program OBD-II Flash Device).
Can anybody give me some help?
Xcalibrator multi-program obd-II flash device..... that is all the little manuel has on it.
Apparently the XCal1 (and the original XCal2) do not offer any end-user tweaking--however I understand that the tunes files can still be created by the current SCT Advantage software.
So, if you contact an SCT shop they should be able to create a stock tune with just the rear-end gear ratio set as needed.
Or, just pay the extra $4.50 per tank and enjoy the better performance...
