Stalling Issue
Stalling Issue with stock 1997 Mustang GT. Had this car for 6 years and developed love w/ this car and she's my daily driver. Car has over 150k and runs great except when I take it on highway for long trips and it's hospital routine now for car to stall whenever I turn off on exit ramp after driving for a couple of hours at a time. Temp gage is not showing overheating or anything. Lately, she's been doing it when the temp outside is hot...and she'll just stall in traffic and die for a little while. Becoming a real pain. Seems like a computer malfuction or feels like fuel starvation issue??
Usually, I just have to wait for her to cool down and then she runs right again, but a few different mechanics I've brought this mustang to say they can't figure out or diagnosis problem unless I bring car to them immediately when this issue is happening.
Any suggestions and/or feedback would be greatly appreciated
Thanks,

This is WAY off topic, but I'll be polite and try to give you some quick help.
Have you replaced the ISC (Idle Speed Controller motor)? Your symptoms are classic. It will electrically check good, fooling techs but be goo'd up inside. A quick cleaning with brake cleaner can help but generally not completely fix it. Also an aftermarket throttle body that has the stop incorrectly adjusted will cause this problem. Also an incorrect aftermarket tune can also cause issues. And finally poor spark plug condition.
Thanks and there are better topics and forums for this.
Thanks,
Ed
