but i was curious, how much does it really help performance, is it an upgrade thats worth it?

 

I think they're worth it. The 2 best bolt ons i ever did were gears and a tune. Nice thing about it is that you can recalibrate your speedo with this when you do the gears.

 

He wouldn't be able to since he has a 96. He would need either a calibration gear, or the little box thing.

Chip and thermostat was the best mod I ever did for my 95 mustang.
I take a summer trip to baltimore in July every year.
First year with the tune in it saved me almost 1/4 tank of gas on the trip.
The difference in acceleration response was well worth it to.
