Default 4.10s Uncorrected: Increase or Decrease Odometer Reading

Just a quickie...

if a car has 4.10's installed and never messed with recalibrating the speedo, would mileage read higher than actual....or would actual mileage be higher than it reads..

It would read higher. ex: 4.10/3.27 = 1.254

So it'd read approximately one and a quarter times higher than actual speed

**** you!

For example, my car reads between 4k-8k more miles on it than it really should because I did not calibrate the speedo right away but I still drove it a lot.

I think older models just have a small speedo gear either in the rear end or transmission/elsewhere that needs to be replaced...
