Talking Cam.

Thinkin about putting a cam in my daily driver. Just want a little sound don't really care if it adds power or not. Just don't want it to kill me on gas. Any suggestions. I have a 01 mustang 4.6L. 5 speed.

You might be interested in the ones i'm running. They're Modular Head Shop stage 2 n/a cams. They sound good, make decent power, do not require upgraded valve springs, and have very acceptable ptv clearance.

Got a doner engine I'm about to put in and figured if I was going to put a cam in now would be the time. Where did you get yours from.

I got mine from Modular Head Shop. If the new cams are going in the donor motor that would be a great time to modify and/or change the intake valves and pistons, so you could run some serious cams. Ever considered that?

Well the doner only has 40,000 miles and was wanting it to be kind of reliable. Just wanted a different sound. The one I'm taking out has high miles and ime going to bore it out and go all out on it. Just need this one to last a couple of years.

Well if I was wanting horse power for THIS engine I would be focusing more on the bottom end like crank, pistons etc. Since I'm not and I just want a different sound on this engine that's what I'm looking for. Thanks for concern on how I spend my money.

Oh "a cam" should have worded it better.
