real simple but time consuming, take the belt system off, the pulley, and the timing cover. Take the the valve covers, and if you have after market ones you might have to take the brake booster off. unbolt the cam sprocket, and slide the crank sprocket off. Now when putting back together insure you are at TDC when you put the crank sprocket back on or you can just simply mark it before taking it off. Also you will have my chain link on the the timing change that is a different color insure one discolored link is either at the mark you made or if you are at TDC insure it is lined up with the dot on the sprocket. You will also have a dot on the cam sprocket line the other discolored link with that one. bolt everything to get and you should be good.

If you are confussed buy a chilton it has everything you need to know

yeah ok bolt it all back together with aftermarket cams, and use the stock timing marks and gears that can be off +/- 5* from each other... good idea moron...

and how the hell would you know you drive a 331 i'm guessing thats your engine with a modular engine that all you have to do with a push rod i understand the timing was off, believe me when i tell you i worked on modulars for years for friend that have that piece of **** engine and i never had that problem with cams and timing.

ASE certified in engine repair, and all 3 machining area's...

ill post a picture of my certificate and card if you want me to as well

and the 96 i have now IS a modular i dont own my 95 any more

keep reading more forums and pretend you know what youre talking about

ask ANYONE else on here that has cams if they just lined up the timing marks, or if they ACTUALLY went through the process of degreeing them so that they are installed the RIGHT way, not half-assed...
