Any 5W-20 and change every 5,000+ miles.

I run Amsoil 5W-20 and change every 7,500+ miles.

Motorcraft semi synthetic and Motorcraft filter. every 5k. You guys changing your oil every 3k running full synthetic are wasting your money unless you are out running it on the strip. Full synthetic would be perfectly fine for 5k or even 7.5k. That is if you are not beating it to death.

Wow 5 to 7.5 I was always told about 3000. Good to know I actually am less nervous to drive my car now haha. I was worried about driving it because my one friend with an 04 GT drove his a little after he was supposed to and boom goes his motor...He also ran it to where it had NO oil in it at all!

Oil never really loses its lubricating ability..It just gets dirty. That's why you see so many Recycled Oils on the market now.
