trans problem

Default trans problem

i have an 02 gt 5-speed. i have been having a problem shifting into second gear. it feals like it is grinding. i went to ford and they said it was a known problem. also they where in the process of finding a way to fix it. i was wondering if they where blowing smoke oris that true? they said i would be a few months till they knew anything so i was also wondering if there was anything i could do to help prevent that like synthetic trans fluid any suggestions would beappreciated

Default trans problem

Blowing smoke, in earlier model Tremec 5 speed's this was a known problem and it was supposidly fixed for the 2002 model. Have you had the forks inspected?

no but ford said they pulled the trans out and took it all apart they had the car for 3 and a half days so you think they would have noticed them if they where

I HAD A PROBLEM LIKE THAT MYSELF. YOU MIGHT WANT TO INVEST IN A AJUSTALBE CLUCTH CABLE, AND A METAL QUADERENT IT'S AROUND A 100 BUCKS FOR BOOTH.
