Default 2002 radiator hoses replacement question

My wife has a 2002 with 104k miles on it and the shop says the radiator hoses don't look like they have been ever replaced. Would replacing these have an performance gains? I have noticed that sometimes the pickup seems to wait a second before really kicking in if almost to a stop and then stepping on the gas.

I could be completely off base here, but had to ask.

No your rad hoses have nothing to do with how your car runs. And you should be OK with the hoses as long as they show no signs of deterioration.
And just so you know I read your post to my wife that knows nothing about cars and she laughed at you because you assumed your Rad hoses affected your performance

Haha, well that wasn't nice. They'll only affect performance if say...they leak or blow up and the engine overheats and dies.
