Suppercharger showdown
I was bored and decided to research a lil about superchagers (not that i can afford one...yet!!!) so i went to vortech's home site and kenne bell's home site and im a lil confused. From what i have read on the forums kenne bell is the better supercharger to go with and from mustang magazines seems they always have a blowzilla or something. Well i found that a vortech supercharger w/ aftercooler from there site was $5,299 and was rated at 9-10 psi to be 142hp on a unmodified engine the final number being 402hp to the crank. While at kenne bell there 1.7L blower is rated to give 160rwhp at 9psi. So i of coarse thought ok how much more is it going to cost then the vortech because of the better gains and found that kenne bell's site is selling there blower w/intercooler for $4,899. Im confused why is vortech's so much more anything im missing out on, cuz i have the numbers.

RE: Suppercharger showdown
You can run 6 psi w/o the intercooler if you want.
Here is one for you. Ford Racing makes a bolt-on s/c for our cars. It's a non-intercooled kit and claims to give 55 HP. I think that is low, even for a non-intercooled s/c.

The cheapest I've found these is www.dugan-racing.com for $3129.65 + SH. I figure an intercooler can be done for less than $1,000. I wonder if you can swap the pulley and get it up to about 9 psi?
Thoughts?
