Default Exhaust Cutout's for my GT

I was thinking of installing cutouts for my exhaust considering i live in CAlifornia. Only concern is where i would put them? Would I lose HP/TQ? I read if you install them after the H/X pipe you wont lose HP/TQ but if you install them before the H/X pipe you will lose HP/TQ. Is this true?

You're talking about cutouts to run open headers right? If so, i hear the electric ones can be problematic, and the other kinds are a pita in general.

Honestly, i wouldn't doubt it if you lost a little power going this route. A basically stock 4.6 doesn't flow enough to take advantage of something like this.

That's just my thoughts.

there is a guy in this area that has one of the loudest new edge stangs in this area I seen him at the track a few months ago pulled up and just kept reving it up for like 2min after he parked. Let the car sit for 30 min then went and lined it up long story short he ran it 4 times and each time was in the mid 15s no joke. But it was screaming down the track and traction wasnt an issue just slow and loud.
