Default HID's on stock 99 cobra foglights

Quick question I'm gonna run HID's to my foglights because I placed blackout covers on the headlights I'm just wondering if anyone else has done this and if so what "K" are you using and how illuminating are they and are you using the stock fog lights because I'm also thinking about getting smoked euro style fog lights from blue oval industries if anyone has those as well will they haze or melt?

im not sure exactly what k my headlights are i got them from a friend who bought them already on his car they are white with a slight blue so im assuming 6k which is what i think im going to run for my foglights so i dont have to use my headlights and just use the fogs have you gotten stopped by the cops for your HID's yet?

well with that said, the higher you go in Kelvin, the less Lumens you'll have. So i wouldnt go above a 5k.4300 would be best, but ya that yellow isnt all that great to look at. And i dont know the dimensions of your fogs, but this might be something worth looking into. http://www.theretrofitsource.com/pro...roducts_id=243

the bulbs plug into the new fog, not yours. Ya, i agree with ya on the yellow. Im personally using 6k's in my headlights but am going to swap to 5k after i upgrade my ballast. Im also using projectors tho. Being as its a HID in halogen reflector the output is gonna be so so. Just seen your in FL, what part? Im volusia county (daytona beach area)

ok in that case you just choose the bulb type you want? correct me if im wrong then i may go with those and get the 6k and i live in Jupiter palm beach county since your in the daytona are you wouldnt by any chance be going to the turkey run are you?

i was gonna get these http://www.stangmods.com/Mustang-HID...it-p/00665.htm then get the euro smoked style foglights from blue oval industries but which set up would be better for visibility

Heres a question, why not just get different headlights so you dont have to go through all this?lol.. But honestly all HID kits are probably the same, So i'd just say look for the cheapest,IMO. But yes, for the ones i linked earlier, you'd just choose the kelvin you want.
