Default Bama AM Tuner problems?

I got my tuner from AM today. I loaded the race tune and took my car for a spin...

Everything is good until I hit exactly 4000rpms, then the car hits a wall. It's almost like the fuel cuts out and there's a rev limiter in place.

So what gives?! I'm going to give them a call during business hours, but does anyone have any ideas?

My car isn't modded heavily. Just cai, o/r x pipe, and cat back.

No lol, it's not supercharged or anything. It's just a stage 2... Just intake exhaust suspension wheels and a body kit. Basically a GT I thought.

Or did I f up not telling them?

You need to tell them it's a Roush. They (Roush, Saleen, and the others) load "stock" tunes which are not the same as the factory OEM tunes (usually having the normal "stuff" that any canned tuned would have)--nonetheless they need to know you have a Roush modified vehicle NOT an "straight from Dearborn GT"...

I didn't know that, thanks for the insight. I'm new to the mustang world, I've always had Japanese or European cars.

It feels good below 4k though. Sucks that I can't see how it feels in the upper rpms, I was looking forward to it all week! Oh well you live and learn. Hopefully I'll get it fixed ASAP.

Do you think it can be fixed over the computer or will I need to send the tuner back to AM?

They can probably send you the files and you would just load them from your computer to the tuner. I am assuming you bought a handheld tuner.

Try AM and see if they can send you the tune, they are ussually good about it... if not you are screwed if its a SCT tuner. I got a tuner for my diesel truck and ordered the one for no filter delete instead of the filter delete like i wanted ( They were the same price, same numbers except 1) and they made me pay $120 for the tune. It made no sense to me why they would charge me when i clearly just bought the tuner and both tuners were the same exact price online...

The OP said he got the tuner from AM--I though they provided "tunes for life" with the SCT products?

I've been talkin to am, they had me load the strategy tune to see if it ran good.... It did.

They rewrote my tunes, now I just need to load them and see what gives. I told them it was a roush and got them the strategy code. We will see

If it doesn't work they are going to have me data log the car.
