Talking Exhaust to go with LT's ordered today.

So I ordered my LT's today, went with Mac's. and am going to need to re-do all of my exhaust. I've been looking at a few options. The 6-8 month goal is to buy a DD and start using the mustang as a weekend warrior. (Mild head work, MHS Stage 2's, and 11:1 CR is the ultimate plan.) Exhaust choices:

1. LT's, O/R X OR to 10 series flows. May use an H mid depending on feedback.

2. LT's, O/R x to Stingers( If I can find the mufflers without the rest of the cat back)

3. Lt's, O/R X to SLP LMII's.

A buddy of mine just got his exhaust bender for his fab shop and is now doing full custom exhaust so I'm gonna do one on my car, hence why I need to find Stingers with no cat back, or with a smashed catback or something. If this is indeed the route chosen.

My .02 cents...

I'd go Long tubes, O/R H (I prefer their sound), and Magnapacks. This is the setup I would have done had I not lived in CA. I went with the full Magnaflow catback with Magnapacks. The packs sound great. They're a straight through kind of oldschool glasspack style muffler. They sound great even with my stock manifolds and stock H. Really DEEP and lots of throat at WOT. They sound similar to stingers but much less expensive.

I've heard that too and really like it. Can I buy just the "packs" with no catback?

Do you want it LOUD, or just to sound DEEP?

The three options you listed would all be way too loud for my taste.
I am running long tubes, O/R H-pipe, and 3 chamber Flowmasters. It makes plenty of sound for me, but NOT obnoxious. I get lots of compliments on the sound. Strangely, many of the compliments come from older guys who are into muscle cars.

I kinda want two different things. Some days I want a nice deep sound, and others I want something that just plain SCREAMS at WOT.. haha.. But I do like the way LT's, O/R H and Magnapacks sound. or even with an X. CTgreddy has that setup and I completely forgot about it when I was looking around. I can also get the magnapcack mufflers without a cat back. so That may be my choice.. unless anyone has more ideas? I don't really care for chambered flows (40, 44, 50) and lots of people have them...
