Definitely buy another car if you have the money but keep your stang.

When I was a kid, my dad had a Ford Maverick Grabber and mom a Ford Pinto... both coupes...

In the 80's, a Camaro was a common second "family" car... kids just got in the back. We've gone soft these days. Space shuttle car seats are over the top.

keep your stang and get one of these on the side. it still has 2 doors but ALOT more room in the front and back and a car seat and two booster seats will fit in the back with both the front psngrs having plenty of room. and they are cheap and have a familiar engine to the car you already have. Kids and my stang being payed off is the only reason i went and picked up this on the side (the car in my sig). for the room. http://i1226.photobucket.com/albums/...P1010873-1.jpg

Please explain why a Mustang is not safe for a car seat. I have 2 kids and and had never had trouble getting a car seat in the rear. I actually found it easier to get the baby carrier in the rear of the Mustang than I did any 4 doors we owned.
To me it sounds like your looking for an excuse to get rid of the Mustang.

I know I had no issue at all putting a rearward or foward facinf car seat behind the psgr seat but after I put th baby seat behind the psngr seat there was No room for anyone to sit in the front psngr seat. But after she was big enough for the harness style booster seat she can fit back there and my wife can Now sit in the psngr seat with a bit of room. so with a baby seat in the back only the driver could sit up front but with a booster style seat in the back a driver and his psngr could ride up front. So the stang is safe for a baby seat and there is ALOT of room to put a car seat back there when you let the seat up.

It was the opposite with our GTO though there was ALOT more room in the backseat but the passthrough to get a carseat(baby seat in and out was alot smaller than the stang. So the wife got rid of the GTO.

The good thing about stang it is still worth about $7k. Good amount for downpayment. I was showing her 2011 stang on the Craigslist, but she said "no way, it is not practical"

As far as 4 door I was looking at new sonata turbo or new passat. I like ford edge too, but it is expensive.

Anyway, thanks for your opinions, I think I am going to keep it for at least 1 year, maximum 2. Driving a stang still cheaper
I don't wanna burst your bubble, SO.. I won't tell you what will happen if you try to sell that car private party, and I definitely won't tell you what'll happen at a dealership.

Aside from that, I also have a baby on the way and plan on having the Mustang stay as my DD (99GT, 107K) while my wife drives her new Malibu as the 'family hauler'.

My next car is a '13 GT500..... so I'll have to keep the baby out of that one.
