Headers?

Headers?
Ok I am about to get myself some headers. What should I go for? Not really caring About sound more performance gain. I am getting shortys since I don want to buy a new midpipe.
What's the difference between equal length, tuned length and regular. Looking to get either Mac ceramic, bbk, or bassani. Does bassani have shorty headers for my car? Also what size should I get for best performance gain?

Well there are alot of things to consider. IMO shorty's are worth the PIA install. Go long tube, i've heard a million stories of the people swapping back and forth, and can obviously tell a big difference in the long tubes. Just a tough job for what the shorties will provide. I'd go long tube all the way, and I have. I purchased kooks. Main selling point was i don't have to remove the long tubes to pull the trans if I need to. All the rest you do. Equal length help equal the exhaust pulses. Go equal length when you can.

if youre not going to go longtube leave it stock, all shorties will do is drain your bank account...
all that length talk is for the most part marketing it wont make a difference on a shorty, the primaries are still too short, longtubes will give you a decent boost in power and increase exponentially as the mod list gets longer...
so with that being said, order some longtubes, you might as well only do the work once...
both me and CTGreddy run Flowtech LT's and their OR X pipe, not the greatest thing in the world but they get the job done and i got my combo for around $300 shipped off summit...
MAC also makes a very nice header, if i had to do it again id get MAC LT's and a VRS OR X pipe and call it a day...
obviously Kooks, SLP, etc are nice as well, but not worth ~$1000 IMHO...
